The Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts distributed $154,000 among 25 area nonprofits for community enrichment projects and operational effectiveness.
The Fitchburg-based foundation manages charitable funds established by individuals, families, businesses, and other nonprofit organizations and invests in the 33-communities it serves in North Central Massachusetts.
“The variety of community enrichment projects we are able to support demonstrates the extraordinary ingenuity, energy, and enthusiasm of our local nonprofit organizations,” foundation President and CEO Stephen Adams said in a Friday press release.
The 25 organization who received funding were:
“By supporting small capital projects, we help our local nonprofits complete projects that they ordinarily would not be able to. I hope more people will channel some of their philanthropy through the Community Foundation’s field of interest funds,” foundation Board Chair Jay Drake said.
